On Saturday, Nov. 22, Suddenlink’s operation in Lubbock, Texas, launched a new tier of Internet service, featuring a download speed of up to 20 megabits per second (Mbps), the fastest known speed of any competitive option in that area, and the fastest available anywhere in Suddenlink-served territories.
This new service was enabled, in part, by the fiber ring the company constructed in West Texas, a project that was completed earlier this year and which has also enabled the launch of video-on-demand service in that area.

So, do you have any schedules for such upgrades on other parts of your network? Particularly in the East Texas area (Tyler)?

While I can’t currently provide details, I can assure you we will continue to evaluate opportunities for making this higher-speed service available in more areas.

I don’t have a date for 20 Mbps service in your area, but it appears they will be launching an up to 15 Mbps service there within the next week or so.
