That Little (Sometimes Red) Button
… some members of the committee mentioned how they would like a tool on a TV or remote control (specifically, the idea of a “little red button”) to provide information about the show and the show’s rating.
In a growing number of households, “this button (which sometimes even comes in red) already exists.”

WRONG! As we’ve written before, Suddenlink does not send unsolicited email requesting personal or account information. Whenever you receive such email, ignore and delete it. If you have a question about whether an email is legitimate, give us a call. (It’s also a good rule of thumb to not click on links or open attachments in unsolicited or suspicious email.)
Suddenlink Aids Job Searches in Lubbock Area
The shows would be presented for home viewing on local cable systems. In addition, cable provider Suddenlink has agreed to show the program on cable channels in other cities it serves in the South Plains and Panhandle.
Monitoring Internet Usage
In Clovis, N.M., Suddenlink is testing its own version of an online usage monitoring tool for customers who are interested. More information here.

Go to the Moon with Google
Timed with the 40th anniversary of the first moon walk, the Internet giant on Monday released an addition to its Google Earth mapping software to provide images of moon landscapes and traces of human exploration there.
Called the Moon in Google Earth and available for Windows, Mac, and Linux, the software allows you to see topographical features on our closest celestial neighbor with the lunar equivalent of Google Street View. People can also see a gallery of the Apollo space missions and get information on every robotic spacecraft that has visited the moon.
Emmy Loves Cable
Cable again dominated the list of nominees for the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards, announced July 16 in Los Angeles.
Cable series garnered five of the seven best drama nominations as well as three nods in the best comedy category. They also made a significant showing in the variety, reality and top acting categories.
