02/01/12 at 2:01 pm

Though most Americans will be watching Sunday’s Super Bowl extravaganza, there are many others who just don’t care about it. For them, there are plenty of viewing alternatives, as detailed by The Hollywood Reporter. They range from Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl to TBS’s lineup of six “movies women want.”

Among others counter-programming are MTV, TNT, USA, A&E, Lifetime Television, TLC and Discovery Channel. They are available to virtually all Suddenlink customers who have what is commonly known as Expanded Basic TV service.
