C-SPAN Bus Visits Jonesboro, Ark.
In partnership with Suddenlink, the C-SPAN Campaign 2012 Bus visited Jonesboro, Ark., this week, making stops at Arkansas State University (ASU) and Jonesboro High School. KAIT-TV8 in Jonesboro reported on the visit to the high school. In addition to touring the bus, students had the opportunity to call in live to C-SPAN’s signature morning show, “Washington Journal.”
Mayor Harold Perrin sent a proclamation, which was read during the ASU stop, proclaiming Feb. 8 “Suddenlink/C-SPAN Day” in Jonesboro.
The C-SPAN bus stops at schools and community centers across the country. Visitors are invited to explore high-tech interactive displays with the help of C-SPAN tour guides. Like C-SPAN, the bus tour is a non-profit project that is supported solely by the cable television industry.
