New Online Safety Site Enlists Teens’ Advice
The Family Online Safety Institute (FOSI), an international nonprofit organization dedicated to online safety, this week launched A Platform for Good (PfG) – an interactive website aimed at helping parents, teachers and teens connect, share and responsibly navigate the digital world.
On the site’s What I Wish My Parents Knew page, teens are enlisted to help adults understand their digital world by submitting answers to the question “What I wish my parents knew about technology,” using 140 characters or less. The answers will be used to help decide future content for PfG. Teens who participate will be entered into a drawing for an Xbox.
