The sixth annual Suddenlink-sponsored “Connecting to Those in Need” fall food drive to help stock shelves of The Food Bank of Central Louisiana concluded last week with more than 34 tons of non-perishable food items collected during the six-week campaign. Since its inception in 2007, “Connecting to Those in Need” has collected the equivalent of nearly 114 tons of food, counting both actual food donations plus monetary gifts. Names of contributors who received campaign prizes this year were announced on KALB-TV.
