Suddenlink Tourney Nets $24K for Hospice
As reported in the San Angelo (Texas) Standard-Times, Suddenlink representatives this week presented a $24,000 check to Hospice of San Angelo (HOSA). The donation represented proceeds from the Suddenlink Tony Gibson Memorial Fishing Tournament held March 2. Shown are (left to right) special guest Joe Thomas, host of Outdoor Channel’s “Stihl’s Reel in the Outdoors,” Suddenlink System Manager Monica Kincer, HOSA Executive Director David McBride, Outdoor Channel Representative Christy Benson, and Suddenlink Business Operations Manager Corey Peddy.
The tournament, named in memory of avid fisherman and San Angelo Bass Club member Tony Gibson, is the biggest fundraiser of the year for HOSA. This year’s donation was the largest in tournament history.
Since 2010, the tournament has raised $71,000 for hospice programs. Tournament winners and supporting sponsors are listed on FishTheOpen.
