NCAA Tournament TV Ratings Up
Coverage of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship through Sunday’s telecasts received the event’s best ratings in 18 years, Multichannel News reports. CBS, TBS, TNT and truTV combined to average 8.9 million viewers through five days of coverage. That was the most since 1993 and up 9 percent from last year’s 8.2 million.
Play resumes Thursday and Friday for the 16 teams left in the tournament. Whether any games become classics or any players have singularly remarkable performances remains to be seen. In the meantime, see if you agree with Bleacher Report’s list of the 25 most thrilling finishes in the tournament and ESPN.com’s ranking of the best 75 players in NCAA history.
