Suddenlink and Make-A-Wish® Greater Pennsylvania and Southern West Virginia representatives on Sunday wrapped up a wish package for 19-year-old Phillip, who at 17 was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s disease.
Phillip’s wish — to observe a day in the life of a video game designer — recently came true when he and his family were flown to Los Angeles for a VIP tour of Activision’s Infinity Ward Studio, home of the Call of Duty gaming franchise. The trip was made possible by a donation from Suddenlink.
Sunday’s welcome home celebration took place at Appalachian Power Park in Charleston, where Phillip received an official West Virginia Power jersey, threw out a ceremonial first pitch, and visited the home team dugout before and during part of the game. Phillip then joined family, friends, and his Suddenlink and Make-A-Wish supporters to watch the game.
