Heber Springs, Ark., Gets VOD Service

Beginning today, our customers in Heber Springs, Ark., who have Suddenlink digital receivers, can enjoy video on demand (VOD) service, available on Channel 1.

VOD features thousands of viewing choices, many of them in high-definition (HD) format, including movies, sports, news, music and popular cable-network shows. More than a third of the Suddenlink VOD library is free. The rest is available for either a per-view charge or monthly subscription. Viewers can order titles via remote control at any time.

The introduction of VOD in Heber Springs is part of Project Imagine. Suddenlink will continue to announce launches of new and enhanced services in other communities as they are confirmed.

Renovated Retail Store Opens in Mountain Home

Yesterday, Suddenlink regional executives, business leaders and local Chamber of Commerce officials cut a ceremonial ribbon opening Suddenlink’s newly renovated retail store at 808 Club Blvd. in Mountain Home, Ark.

The store, a base of operations for 15 employees, now offers customers hands-on interactive displays featuring Suddenlink services. Counters no longer separate salespeople from customers, allowing more personal interaction.

Since last September, Suddenlink has unveiled new or renovated stores in Payson, Ariz.; Arkadelphia, Jonesboro, El Dorado and Russellville, Ark.; Alexandria, Bossier City, Natchitoches and Ruston, La.; Greenwood, Miss.; Branson and St. Joseph, Mo.; Stillwater, Okla.; Abilene, Bryan, Conroe, Little Elm and Lubbock, Texas; and Point Pleasant, W. Va.

Burkburnett, Texas, Gets Faster Internet Speeds

Yesterday, we increased the speeds of our two existing Internet services in Burkburnett, Texas. They now feature download speeds of up to 1.5 and 10 megabits per second. Current customers received the new speeds automatically.

Faster Internet services are part of Project Imagine. We will continue to announce launches of new and enhanced services as they are confirmed.

Fort Sill, Okla., Gets Faster Internet Speeds

Today, we more than doubled the speeds of our two existing Internet services in Fort Sill, Okla.  They now feature download speeds of up to 1.5 and 10 megabits per second. The latter is the fastest residential Internet service in Fort Sill.

New on Suddenlink VOD: ‘Chronicle’

Sci-fi thriller “Chronicle” is now available through Suddenlink Video on Demand.

Three high school friends develop superpowers after making an incredible discovery. Soon, though, they find their lives spinning out of control when they are tempted to misuse their newfound powers. The cast includes Michael B. Jordan, Dane DeHaan, Alex Russell, Ashley Hinshaw and Michael Kelly.

Action comedy “One for The Money” is now available through Suddenlink Video on Demand.

Unemployed and newly divorced Stephanie Plum (Kathryn Heigl) lands a job at her cousin’s bail-bond business. Her first assignment as a bounty hunter puts her on the trail of a wanted local cop (Jason O’Mara) from her romantic past. The film is based on Janet Evanovich’s best- selling book of the same name.

Action thriller “The Grey” is now available through Suddenlink Video on Demand.

MAX 50.0 Launched in Five Arizona Communities

Today, residential customers in Bullhead City, Kingman, Lake Havasu City, Parker and Payson, Ariz., can get Suddenlink’s High Speed Internet MAX 50.0 service. With download speeds of up to 50 Megabits per second (Mbps), it is the fastest residential Internet service offered in these areas.

Since spring of 2010, MAX 50.0 service has been made available to residential customers in the following Suddenlink-served communities:

Arkansas: Jonesboro, Pocahontas

California: Auburn, Humboldt County, Truckee

Louisiana: Alexandria, Bossier City (including Barksdale Air Force Base), Haughton, Lake Charles, Natchitoches, Pineville, Sulphur

Missouri: Branson, Nixa, St. Joseph

North Carolina: New Bern, Tarboro

Texas: Athens, Balch Springs, Lufkin, Fate, Forney, Gladewater, Grand Saline, Heath, Hideaway Lake, Lindale, McClendon-Chisholm, Mineola, Nacogdoches, Quitman, Rockwall, Royse City, San Angelo, Seagoville, Talty, Terrell

With download speeds of up to 50 Megabits per second (Mbps), it is the fastest residential Internet service offered in these areas.

Since spring of 2010, MAX 50.0 service has been made available to residential customers in the following Suddenlink-served communities:
