TNT Has Exclusive Coverage of NBA All-Star Events
TNT will air exclusive live coverage of the 2012 NBA All-Star Weekend from Orlando, Fla., beginning tomorrow evening and running through Sunday. The network’s 15 hours of coverage tips off on Thursday with doubleheader action: the New York Knicks vs. the Miami Heat, followed by the the Los Angeles Lakers vs. the Oklahoma City Thunder. TNT will also televise the BBVA Rising Stars Challenge on Friday and the NBA All-Star Night on Saturday. Coverage culminates with the NBA All-Star Game Sunday evening.
TNT is available to all Suddenlink customers who have what is commonly known as Expanded Basic TV service.
St. Joseph, Mo., Gets Any-Room DVR
Beginning today, St. Joseph, Mo., customers with TiVo® Premiere DVRs from Suddenlink will be able to begin watching a program in one room and continue it in another, as well as watch recordings on any TV connected to a TiVo Premiere device
New options are the result of software enhancements. For example, Suddenlink customers with three TiVo Premiere DVRs can record up to six shows at the same time, watch recordings on any TV, start watching in one room and resume in another, and have up to 600 hours of recording space.
The TiVo Premiere, first offered by Suddenlink in 2010, combines the cable operator’s service with TiVo’s best-in-class user interface, providing access to thousands of hours of entertainment choices, including content from Suddenlink’s video-on-demand (VOD) library and the Web, all accessible through TiVo’s advanced search and discovery features. This integration of functions is only available through Suddenlink.
Since November of last year, any-room DVR service was introduced to Suddenlink customers in North Carolina, West Texas, Clovis, N.M., and Auburn and Truckee, Calif. We will continue to announce service launches as they are confirmed.
New on VOD: ‘J. Edgar’
Biographical drama “J. Edgar” is now available through Suddenlink Video on Demand.
Leonardo DiCaprio stars in director Clint Eastwood’s exploration of controversial FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover. For nearly 50 years, Hoover battled criminal threats, both real and perceived, often bending the rules to keep Americans safe. Behind closed doors, he held secrets that would have destroyed his image and career. The supporting cast includes Naomi Watts, Armie Hammer, and Judi Dench.

Cartoon Network Airing Sports Award Show Tonight
Tonight on Cartoon Network, NBA analyst and basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal will host the second annual Hall of Game Awards. The show will recognize 2011’s most notable sports moments and figures, as voted on by viewers.
Among the athletes expected to appear are Los Angeles Galaxy star David Beckham, New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz, Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton, World Cup soccer goalie Hope Solo, pro surfer Maya Gabiera, BMX rider Steve McCann and WWE superstar The Miz.

WWE: Elimination Chamber Offered on PPV
John Cena, Triple H, Randy Orton, Sheamus, CM Punk, and other WWE superstars will compete in Milwaukee, Wis., at the “WWE: Elimination Chamber” event, which is available Sunday, Feb. 19, live on pay-per-view (PPV) from Suddenlink. Trapped by 11,000 feet of chain and 16 tons of cold steel, the wrestlers will need to endure a night of punishment to prove who is worthy of championship gold.
This event is available only to residential, non-commercial customers, at a price of $44.95 ($54.95 in high-definition format where available), which excludes taxes, fees, and equipment charges. The event requires a digital set-top box (receiver) and is only available in areas where Suddenlink offers PPV. Other restrictions may apply. Please note that Suddenlink video-on-demand (VOD) and pay-per-view (PPV) are distinct services. Where VOD service is available, Suddenlink customers with digital receivers can find the VOD menu by tuning to Channel 1. In contrast, where PPV service is available, customers should be able to locate the PPV menu through their digital receiver’s interactive channel guide. Alternatively, if customers have trouble locating the PPV menu through the channel guide, they should be available to find it on one of the following channels, depending on where they receive service: 301, 500, 501, 621, 801, 811, 821 or 871.

All-Digital Conversion Finished in Arizona Cities
The lineup in Payson now features more than 75 new HD channels and more than 45 new standard-definition (SD) digital channels. In Pine and Strawberry, the new lineup includes more than 90 new HD channels and more than 135 new SD channels. With these additions, the Pine and Strawberry TV lineups are the same as in Payson.
Among the new HD channels are: ESPN HD, Fox Sports Arizona HD, TNT HD, TBS HD, USA HD, Lifetime HD, Discovery HD, TLC HD, Animal Planet HD, History HD, AMC HD, ABC Family HD, Disney HD, Nickelodeon HD, FX HD, Spike TV HD, Syfy HD, CNN HD and MTV HD.
Suddenlink also introduced two new high-speed Internet options for residential customers in Pine and Strawberry, with download speeds of up to 10 and 15 Megabits per second (Mbps). The new speed options are believed to be the fastest residential Internet service in the area. These services were introduced earlier in Payson.
The service enhancements are the latest elements of a $10 million capital investment program in Arizona. That program already has brought faster Internet speeds and many new TV channels to Kingman and Bullhead City, Flagstaff and other Arizona communities.
‘After Shows’ Gaining Popularity
If the popularity of after shows continues, AMC may add them for its other hit series – “Breaking Bad” and “Mad Men.”
