More HD Channels Launched in Dallas Area

Today we introduced more than 35 new high-definition (HD) TV channels in 19 Dallas area communities: Anna, Aubrey, Balch Springs, Celina, Fate, Forney, Heath, Krum, Little Elm, McClendon-Chisholm, Melissa, Pilot Point, Prosper, Rockwall, Royse City, Sanger, Seagoville, Talty and Terrell.

The new channels include C-SPAN HD, Outdoor Channel HD, TCM HD, Headline News HD, Golf Channel HD, TV Land HD, Hallmark Channel HD, E! HD, BET HD, Disney XD HD, The Hub HD, Destination America HD, OWN HD, Investigation Discovery HD, The Science Channel HD, BBC America HD, H2 HD, Biography Channel HD, FXX HD, Oxygen HD, Fox Business Network HD, MTV2 HD, Fuse HD, SWRV HD, ESPNews HD, ESPNU HD, Fox Sports 2 HD, CBS Sports Network HD, Encore HD, Independent Film Channel HD, Sundance HD, Hallmark Movie Channel HD, HBO2 HD, HBO Family HD, HBO Latino HD and The Movie Channel HD.

HDTV offers a widescreen format, similar to a movie theater, with distinctly sharper images and better sound quality than standard TV.

Today, we completed the transition to an all-digital TV lineup in Hugo, Okla. The upgrade provides customers with superior picture and sound quality.

After the conversion was completed, we introduced a host of new high-definition (HD) channels to the TV lineup. Idaho Communities Go All-Digital

After the conversion was completed, we introduced a host of new high-definition (HD) channels to the TV lineup. Among them are: WGN HD, TBS HD, Discovery Channel HD,  TNT HD, ESPN HD, Root Sports Northwest HD, Outdoor Channel HD, Fox News Channel HD, CNN HD,  Disney HD, ABC Family HD, Cartoon Network HD,  Nickelodeon HD,  Animal Planet HD,  TLC HD,  History Channel HD, CMT HD and AMC HD.

Service Upgrades Completed in Lecompte, La.

Yesterday, we completed an upgrade to the superior picture and sound quality of all-digital TV in Lecompte, La., introduced a host of high-definition (HD) TV channels, and launched a faster Internet speed option and Video on Demand (VOD) service.

Among the new HD channels are broadcast stations KLAX HD (ABC), KALB HD (NBC), WNTZ HD (FOX), KALB HD (CBS 5.2), KLFY HD (CBS) and KLPA HD (PBS). Cable networks include ESPN HD, Lifetime HD, CMT HD, Nickelodeon HD, MTV HD, USA HD, Headline News HD, CNN HD, Animal Planet HD, ABC Family HD, Disney HD, Discovery Channel HD, A&E HD, Fox Sports Houston HD, Cartoon Network HD, HGTV HD, TBS HD, TNT HD, TLC HD, History HD, AMC HD, Food Network HD and Comedy Central HD.

We also launched High Speed Internet 20.0 service. High Speed Internet 20.0 features a download speed of up to 20 Megabits per second (Mbps), the fastest residential Internet service in the community.

Lecompte customers who have Suddenlink digital receivers now can enjoy video on demand (VOD) service, available on Channel 1.

VOD features thousands of viewing choices, many of them in HD format, including movies, sports, news, music and popular cable-network shows. More than a third of the Suddenlink VOD library is free. The rest is available for either a per-view charge or monthly subscription. Viewers can order titles via remote control at any time.

Among them are: broadcast stations KTAZ HD (Telemundo) and KTVW HD (Univision), as well as MSNBC HD, OWN HD, Disney XD HD, The Hub HD, Planet Green HD, Investigation Discovery HD, Science Channel HD, BBC America HD, H2 HD, Biography Channel HD, Hallmark Channel HD, WeTV HD, Fuse HD, IFC HD, Hallmark Movie Channel HD and HBO2 HD.

These changes are part of Project Imagine. We will continue to announce launches of new and enhanced services as they are confirmed.

N.C. Communities Get Enhanced Services

Today, we completed a fiber-optic network upgrade that allows us to begin launching high-speed Internet service, a new, all-digital TV lineup, including a host of new high-definition (HD) TV channels, and other service enhancements for Scotland Neck, Enfield and parts of Halifax County, N.C.

With construction completed, we launched high-speed Internet services with download speeds up to 1.5 and 10 Megabits per second (Mbps) in areas where those services had not been available. We also introduced a new, all-digital TV lineup, which offers superior picture and sound quality, as well as numerous HD TV channels. The new TV lineup features more than double the number of channels previously available and includes more than 90 new HD TV channels.

The network upgrade also allows us to offer Video on Demand (VOD) service and TiVo® Premiere digital video recorders (DVRs).

VOD features thousands of viewing choices, many of them in high-definition (HD) format, including movies, sports, news, music and popular cable-network shows. More than a third of the Suddenlink VOD library is free. The rest is available for either a per-view charge or monthly subscription. Viewers can order titles via remote control at any time.

TiVo Premiere combines Suddenlink’s service with TiVo’s best-in-class user interface to offer access to thousands of hours of entertainment choices, including content from Suddenlink’s video-on-demand library and the Web, all accessible through TiVo’s advanced search and discovery features.

Customers who have multiple TiVo® Premiere DVRs from Suddenlink will also be able to start watching a recorded program in one room and continue it in another. For example, Suddenlink customers with three TiVo Premiere DVRs can record up to six shows at the same time, watch recordings on any TV, start watching in one room and resume in another, and have up to 600 hours of recording space.

Multi-room DVR service has been introduced to customers in Arkansas, California, Louisiana, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas and West Virginia. This list, while not comprehensive, covers the majority of the communities in which this service was deployed prior to today’s launches in North Carolina. Additional communities will be announced as they’re confirmed.
