In crime thriller “Drive,” a Hollywood stunt performer (Ryan Gosling) moonlights as a wheelman for criminals. After a heist goes wrong, he discovers that a contract has been put out on his life. Carey Mulligan co-stars.

“Transformers: Dark of the Moon (3D)” is the third installment of the live-action Transformers film series. The Autobots learn of a Cybertronian spacecraft hidden on the Moon and race against the Decepticons to reach it and learn its secrets. Shia LaBeouf returns as Sam Witwicky, The supporting cast includes John Turturro, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

Households interested in viewing 3-D movies will need a 3-D TV set and 3-D glasses, which can be purchased from consumer-electronics retailers. They will also need a Suddenlink high-definition (HD) receiver because most if not all 3-D on-demand movies are in HD format.

Most Suddenlink HD receivers have what is known as an HDMI output and are installed with HDMI cables. These hardware components support 3-D viewing. Households that do not have these components and wish to view 3-D movies will need to contact Suddenlink to make arrangements to have their equipment replaced or rewired.

Additionally, HD receivers must be set to “standard” view rather than “stretch” view in order to watch 3-D programming.

USA has launched its second annual “Characters Unite” campaign to put a spotlight on bullying, racism, religious intolerance and other forms of discrimination.   More than 20 nonprofit organizations, as well as many star athletes and entertainers, have partnered with USA for a month of awareness-building programming and initiatives, including the Characters Unite Storytelling Tour and the Characters Unite Awards.

Though most Americans will be watching Sunday’s Super Bowl extravaganza, there are many others who just don’t care about it. Everyone needs a little romance. In honor of Valentine’s Day, beginning today and running through the end of the month, Suddenlink Video on Demand (VOD) is offering “I Heart Movies,” a collection of more than 25 favorite films about true love and love gone wrong. Among the titles available are: “Dirty Dancing,” “The Break-Up,” “Gone With the Wind,” “Love Story,”  “It’s Complicated,” “Couples Retreat,” “The Time Traveler’s Wife,” and “P.S., I Love You.”

Daniel Craig and Oscar-winner Rachel Weisz star in “Dream House,” a suspense thriller about a family that unknowingly moves into a New England home where several murders were committed. They find themselves the killer’s next target.

An Antarctica research site is the setting for sci-fi thriller “The Thing.” The discovery of an alien craft leads to a confrontation between a graduate student (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and scientist (Ulrich Thomsen). While the scientist keeps to his research, the grad student partners with a helicopter pilot (Joel Edgerton) to pursue the alien life form.

Many Facebook users are concerned with the social network’s new, mandatory Timeline feature, which will display all the photos, links and posts they’ve ever shared on their Facebook page.  According to Facebook, over the next few weeks, every user will get the Timeline feature. They will have seven days to preview it and edit what content the feature will show.
