TiVo Inc. recently introduced the free TiVo App for iPhone and iPad users, offering an innovative way to interact with its digital video recorders (DVRs) at home or remotely.
TiVo DVR users, including Suddenlink customers where Tivo’s Premiere and Premiere XL DVRs are available, can now enjoy an enhanced viewing experience using the TiVo App. It allows customers to search, browse, discover and share comments about programs without interrupting what they’re watching on their TiVo box.
“You can quickly surface new content, view guides, schedule and manage recordings, get recommendations, or investigate a particular actor’s entire resume — all using intuitive, gesture-based iPad interaction,” announced TiVo. “It even enables you to post comments about a specific show or movie on your Twitter or Facebook page.”
Check here for a video on the TiVo App’s features and a link to download it. Those who don’t currently have a Suddenlink-TiVo DVR can still sample the TiVo experience through the guest mode, browsing, searching, and scrolling through program and channel guides.
Where available, Suddenlink is the only multichannel TV service provider to offer TiVo Premiere and Premiere XL DVRs. The company plans to expand the availability of the devices to additional markets this year.

It’s now easy for Suddenlink customers to watch CNN news live when they’re on the go. They can take full advantage of yesterday’s news
that CNN and HLN now are being streamed live for iPhone and iPad users. Suddenlink is among participating cable providers announced by CNN.
To get started, download the CNN app to an iPhone or iPad. Open the app. Choose “Live TV.” Then select “Unlock Live TV: Select your TV service provider.” Select Suddenlink (one of five providers listed on the main page). Enter your Suddenlink username and password – the same username and password you use when logging into your online account at suddenlink.net – and start watching CNN live.
Customers who do not have an online account with Suddenlink can set up one by visiting suddenlink.net, selecting the “Sign Up Now” option — found in the “Log In” box — entering the account number and access code from their Suddenlink bill, and following the registration instructions.
While Suddenlink2GO™ does not yet offer live CNN programming, it does feature a number of CNN video clips. To use Suddenlink2GO at home or away, Suddenlink customers can visit suddenlink.net, sign in to their online account, select one of the Suddenlink2GO links, and then enter “CNN” in the search bar.
