This VOD Film Was Last Roger Ebert Reviewed
The last movie reviewed by Roger Ebert, “To the Wonder,” premieres tomorrow on Suddenlink Video on Demand (VOD).
The late Chicago Sun-Times critic gave the film 3.5 out of 4 stars, calling writer/director Terrence Malick “one of the most romantic and spiritual of filmmakers.”

Bill Murray gives a Golden Globe-nominated performance as Franklin D. Roosevelt in the story of the president’s love affair with Margaret “Daisy” Suckley, which occurred during FDR’s 1939 upstate New York visit from the King and Queen of the United Kingdom. Laura Linney and Olivia Williams also star.

The votes have been tallied and “Pitch Perfect” won the 16th spot in our April Movie Madness tournament.
This 16-movie bracket includes March’s most-purchased Suddenlink Video on Demand (VOD) movies, “seeded” according to popularity. For the next four weeks, our official counters will tell us which movie from each pairing was purchased the most through Suddenlink VOD during the preceding week. We’ll announce those results on Tuesdays, and the best performers will advance to the next round until a champion is crowned.
In addition to weekly results, we’ll be sharing related movie trivia and fun facts throughout the tournament.

- We’ll announce the wildcard winner on Tuesday, and the first round of April Movie Madness will officially begin.
Last Chance to Catch These Four VOD Movies

The rental window closes Monday, April 8, on mystery thriller “The Raven.” Other title promotions set to soon expire include: romantic comedy “To Rome With Love” (April 14); action thriller “The Expendables 2” (April 15); and animated comedy adventure “ParaNorman” (April 17).

In “Parental Guidance,” a couple is called in to help care for their three grandkids. But when their old-school methods collide with their daughter’s new-school ways, the orderly household spins out of control. Billy Crystal, Bette Midler, and Marisa Tomei star.
“Killing Them Softly” is set during the economic turmoil of 2008. Jackie Cogan (Brad Pitt), an enforcer, is hired to restore order after three people rob a mob-protected poker game. The movie also stars Scoot McNairy, Ben Mendelsohn, Ray Liotta, and Richard Jenkins.

Day-Lewis won the Academy Award for Best Actor, and the film was nominated for 11 other Oscars. Sally Field and Hal Holbrook co-star.

Historical drama “Zero Dark Thirty” chronicles the search and discovery of al-Qaeda terrorist leader Osama bin Laden.
